Colin has travelled in over 50 countries on six continents. For him it is essential education. He is not looking for landmarks or museums or anything special. The ordinary is what is special. Unobtrusively he sometimes captures his experience on a small digital camera. There is a limited selection below.

Rarely does he plan a final destination.  When he arrives in a town or city he likes to disappear into the streets, walking mostly without a map. Often he visits more than once. He has been to remote corners of the globe. He is at home in the southeast Australian bush and trekked in the Kali Gandaki gorge in west Nepal. Even in familiar climes he looks for the remote.

He is sometimes drawn to places that are troubled.  He finds that once you have been there you care about a place and especially its people in different way.
